Danielle Among World Elite!

Appleton Academy student Danielle Gautry is celebrating after winning a silver medal for England at the WTKA World Martial Arts Championships in Italy.

Having already become British champion, Danielle subsequently qualified for the ISKA England team earlier this year and achieved her latest success at the event in Jeselo.

The Academy was one of Danielle's sponsors in her quest for world recognition and her dad, Anthony, had this to say in an interview with the Telegraph and Argus: "Danielle has had great support from the Warriors club (Warriors Martial Arts Academy, Greengates) and from Appleton Academy.  She's managed to combine her studies with her kickboxing and achieve success in both fields.  We are very proud of her".

Danielle joins a growing list of sporting successes for the Academy and we wish her well in her new quest, which is to go on and take gold in the competition next year!
