In Year 5 we have some fantastic themes such as Pyramids and Mummies, Adventures in Space, Pop Art, Fair-trade in Africa, Canals and Rivers and Kings, Queens and Palaces.

Through the children engrossing themselves in these themes, learning becomes more fun and interesting and children learn skills and facts across the full range of subjects.

In Year 5 we are lucky to have a second ICT lesson where the children have the opportunity to use the computers and various software to complete different challenges and projects.

We also have some educational visits planned for the year such as the trip to Bagshaw Museum where one lucky member of the class will be mummified!  We also have another visit, “From Farm to Fork!” which entails a visit to a farm, where we look at where food comes from and how it then gets from there to the supermarket.
