The Year Six Team
Mrs Dennis (Leader of Thematic Curriculum) teaches in both Year 6 and Year7; this provides a close link between the primary and secondary sites and has made transition much easier.
Mrs Kelly (Assistant Director Teaching and Learning EYFS-Y7) teaches in Year 6 and is also responsible for coordinating ICT throughout the primary phase.
Support Assistants: Miss Bowen and Mrs Gladman are the Year 6 support assistants; Miss Bowen works 4 days in Year 6 and Mrs Gladman 2 days.
Mrs Wilson (Learning Mentor HLTA) is also based in Year 6 in the mornings.
Year Six is a very busy year and covers themes such as Lights! Camera! Action!, Crash Landings, Superheroes and obviously SATs, as well as the visits organised to the National Media Museum and BASF Bradford University for Science Workshops. Most important, is the residential visit to Nell Bank on 14th-16th March 2012. Visits to the secondary site are also organised at every opportunity, making the most of the brilliant Mac Suite, DT rooms, Science labs and sports facilities.
