Hawking House

The ethos of Hawking House at Appleton Academy is all about achieving success. We all measure success differently but as long as we have tried to do our best to succeed there can be no arguments.

 

The House is named after Stephen Hawking who, despite major disability, is one of the worlds leading Scientists. As a House we have adopted Stephen Hawking’s attitude that, with determination and the correct attitude difficulties can be overcome.

 

Our House Charity is the Motor Neurone Disease Association; this is the condition the Stephen Hawking suffers from.

 

As the Head of House I care passionately about the pastoral and academic development of the students in the House. With the assistance of my team of Personal Tutors we strive to ensure that all students have to support they require to achieve and be happy at Appleton Academy.
