We were delighted to welcome Sir Kevin Sinfield and the 7 in 7 team to Appleton Academy on Wednesday 30 September as they undertook Day 4 of their latest challenge to raise funds and awareness for the MND Community.

Our students and staff provided a rousing welcome for the team, led by our cadets and sports teams, but involving students from across all year groups, as well as staff who helped to ensure an incredible Appleton reception for our visitors.

After a brief rest break (the primary purpose of the visit being to support Sir Kevin and the team with being able to take a short break along their run), students, staff and parents then offered a magnificent and motivational farewell to Sir Kevin and his team as they left to complete the remainder of their run to Accu Stadium.

The hosting of Sir Kevin and his team at Appleton was a huge privilege and an extremely inspirational event for our students. They were a fantastic credit to the school and their parents/carers, as they showcased the best of themselves and Appleton Academy. We are extremely proud of them.

The 7 in 7 Grand Finale challenge continues and Sir Kevin's parting message was one of hope and a call for continued support for the MND Community.
