Appleton Academy.
Post 16 is agreed
The request for a sixth form at Appleton Academy to start in September 2010 has been agreed by the Minister for Schools and Learners.
Official confirmation of the decision for Appleton Academy to have a sixth form of 200 students has now been received. The Academy will recruit 40 students to the sixth form in September 2010 and then from September 2011, 100 students each year with the intention of having a full cohort of sixth form students in 2012 when the Academy moves into ‘state of the art’ new buildings. The Academy is working closely with our sponsor Bradford College to provide an exciting sixth form curriculum and experience for our students. With this decision, Appleton Academy becomes a truly all-through school providing for children and young people from age 3 to 19.
